PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency by changing a recording data for a wide medium to be recorded into a recording data for trial recording for recording on a narrow medium to be recorded and so controlling to make recording on the narrow medium to be recorded based on the trial recording data. SOLUTION: A wide medium D2 to be recorded or a narrow medium D1 to be recorded are provided in a recording device, and a recording data for a wide medium to be recorded is changed into a recording data for the trial recording which can recorded on the narrow medium D1 to be recorded, and based on the recording data for the trial recording, recording is carried out for the narrow medium D1 to be recorded by a controller provided in the recording device. Recording can be carried out for the narrow medium D1 be recorded by the controller as a control means based on the trial recording data by the arrangement. The time required for the first recording, therefore, can be shortened even in the case that an error is found after the first recording is carried out and a part of the recording has to be modified. |
