The present invention is to increase the number of magnetic fluxes interlinked to an armature coil. In an electromagnetic induction apparatus according to the present invention, in a plane parallel to a magnetization direction of permanent magnets (23, 27), a ratio of a void cross-sectional area (a_1) between the center line (II) of a field magnet void (24) and a permanent magnet row (22) and a void cross-sectional area (a_2) between the center line (II) of the field magnet void (24) and a permanent magnet row (26) has a relation substantially equivalent to a ratio of a cross-sectional area (A_1) of the permanent magnet row (22) and a cross-sectional area (A_2) of the permanent magnet row (26). Preferably, the cross-sectional area (a_1 + a_2) of the void (24) is 1.2 times or more and 2.0 times or less than the average value of the cross-sectional area (A_1) of the permanent magnet row (22) and the cross-sectional area (A_2) of the permanent magnet row (26). |
