According to the present invention, a shock absorber comprises: inner and outer tubes filled with fluids; a piston valve divided into a compression chamber and a tension chamber in the inner tube, and performing compression and tension strokes through external force; a body valve dividing a storage chamber and the compression chamber between the inner and outer tubes; a bump cap combined with the upper part of the body valve, and including a connection passage, formed to be connected with a passage of the body valve, and an orifice groove formed on the upper surface to be connected with the connection passage; and an opening and closing member interlocked with the piston valve, and attached to the upper part of the connection passage during the compression stroke of the piston valve to make the fluids move to the connection passage through the orifice groove. Therefore, the present invention is capable of preventing noise or damage to the piston valve by effectively absorbing a shock during the compression stroke. |
