The invention relates to a synergistic composition comprising propolis and carnosic acid for use in the prevention and treatment of candidiasis. More specifically, the invention relates to a synergistic composition comprising: propolis containing polyphenols at a concentration of between 70 and 90 wt.-% in relation to the propolis, and carnosic acid, for use in the prevention and treatment of candidiasis in humans and/or animals. The invention also relates to a synergistic veterinary and/or pharmaceutical composition and to a synergistic food product.
