PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of accurately detecting the amount of developer.SOLUTION: There is provided a developer container 190 comprising: a storage chamber 18a that includes a recess part 18d and stores a developer; a conveying member 23 that rotates to convey the developer; and a first detection member 31 and a second detection member 32 for detecting the amount of developer by using capacitance, where a part of the recess part 18d is within a radius of rotation of the conveying member 23, and the amount of the developer inside the storage chamber 18d is detected according to a time period during which a signal based on the capacitance remains equal to or larger or smaller than a threshold. The threshold is variable, and is a value that is set by using the maximum value or the minimum value of the signal based on the capacitance in detecting the amount of developer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
