A detachable drop-side, for a bed, has clamps 7 swivellably mounted on a pair of vertical bars 6a and securable to the mattress frame 1a, by means of screws (12). A catch 13 is turned to underlie the bottom rail 5a of the drop-side and secure it in the raised position. The clamp 7 may be secured, in various positions along bar 6a, by the engagement of a pin with holes in the bar or by means of a further screw device. An arm (9) is resiliently urged into engagement with anend frame of the bed. |
