PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel density converter by which deterioration in image quality is minimized and pixel density is converted at a high speed. SOLUTION: In a high speed projecting method, a quadrilateral consisting of four reference pixels of an original image surrounding a conversion pixel obtained by a pixel position arithmetic part 1 is divided into four rectangular areas and each rectangular area is divided by curves. Each divided curve is approximated to a line and the line comprises so as to adjust within a range that the line is crossed with the curve at least at one point. An area discrimination part 2 by using the line discriminates an area in which a position of a conversion pixel is included to reduce an error with the curve, deterioration in image quality is suppressed and the area discrimination is executed at a high speed in comparison with the curve. A conversion pixel decision part 3 decides a value of the conversion pixel corresponding to the area where the position of the conversion pixel is included to output. |
