Registering stencil over previously completed part of semiconductor plate is rendered easier by producing stencil plate transparent to light other than printing light, by electrolytic diffusion of substance, such as silver, into glass plate in exchange for ions of glass, such as sodium ions. Electric field is applied between glass and material to be diffused, under heating of glass. |
