A method of producing rubberized parallel steel cord fabric comprises forming a warp of steel cords, each cord comprising individual wires of 0.003" or less in diameter, and concalendering to each surface of the warp a coating of a hot vulcanisable rubber composition. The rubber composition is heated to within the range 80-120‹C. A weft of material, woven with or adhered to the warp, may be used to support the warp while the coating is applied.</p> |
