<p>1,204,299. Pantographs. L. R. HATEM. 5 May, 1969 [8 May, 1968], No. 22770/69. Heading B6P. A reproducing pantograph comprises a cylindrical guide rail 1 for a movable carriage 2. Arms 8 and 11 are secured rigidly to the carriage 2 by nuts 10 and 13 in slots 9 and 12 respectively. A slide 17 pivoted at 18 to arm 8 slidably receives a first element in the form of an arm 14 which can be locked by a screw 33. A second element or arm 23 is similarly adjustably mounted and pivoted to arm 11. The arms 14 and 23 receive at 15 and 24 respectively the tracing tool and/or making instrument. A transverse coupling bar 20 is pivoted to both arms 14 and 23. The slide 19 pivoted at 31 to the arm 14 allows adjustment of the effective length of the coupling bar 20, so that by releasing nuts 10, 13 and 22 adjustment of the separation of the arms 14 and 23 with respect to each other and the rail 1 is possible. Screw 33 and nut 27 can be released to permit adjustment of slides 17 and 26 along their respective arms, for altering the reproduction ratio.</p> |
