PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming unit capable of obtaining a perfect methane reforming reaction as much as possible, easily performing the operation with a reliability, also at a low equipment cost, operation maintenance cost and energy consumption. SOLUTION: This reforming unit having an indirect heat exchanging zone 5 for performing a reforming reaction of a gas flow containing methane and steam to CO, CO2 , and H2 , contains a plurality of floating head tubes 6 containing a reforming catalyst, a chamber 9 arranged under the floating head tube 6 for receiving the reaction product, and a duct 15 opened up at the chamber 9 for discharging the reaction product. |
