Reactive monoazo dyes of formula (I) are very reactive, easily water-sol. and not very substantive; after fixation on the fibre, uncombined dye can easily be washed away. The dyes can be used for the padding, dyeing and printing of wool, silk, synthetic polyamides, and natural and regenerated cellulose.
