<p>A stud assembly embedded in a motor vehicle tire includes a stud having an elongated shank projecting outwardly of the tire, and a head at the inner end of the stud in contact with a portion of the tire. A core member surrounds the stud and its head in a manner to permit axial movement of the stud relative thereto, and to stabilize the stud during such movement.</p> |
