<p>The shield support for underground mine excavations includes a caving shield (2) attached to a base (1) by either one swinging arm and one straight guide, or by two swinging arms (5, 6) so that the cap (3) in the adjusting part of the shield support is guided in a nearly straight line. The cap (3) has its caving end positioned against link (2) which serves as a caving shield, and can be fixed relative to the base (1) at any support height. The cap (3) is in this position elastically stabilised by a mechanical spring device or a hydraulic cylinder (10) so that a force exerted on the prop (4) of the support is removed from the cap and the pivot point (8) of the link (2) which serves as a caving shield.</p> |
