The resonance burner has a combustion chamber which is supplied with fuel and combustion air by a valve. Burner has an igniter and a resonance tube is connected to the combustion chamber. A mixing tube is fitted between the air valve and combustion chamber. The highly efficient and reliable burners are used as non-motorised burners for preheating engines and for vehicle heating and also for swimming pool heating. The mixing tube (2) consists of an external, cold part (5) and internal, hot part (8) which are connected by a flange (7) on the burner housing. This arrangement is readily replaced when the fuel is changed. A given fuel is prepared for each firing pulse and the ignition delay is correctly adjusted.
