The miniature receiver is used to receive radio transmission from a master talking clock, associated with a HF transmitter and provides an audio announcement of the time. The receiver is provided as a wrist watch, or pocket watch, an alarm clock, a car clock or a radio clock. The receiver is combined with means for switching on the announcement for a short time period and a visual time display may also be provided as either a continuous display, or a selectively actuated display.
