Liquid soap is supplied in measured amounts by a pump (2) from a supply chamber (1). Above it is a housign (7) which can be moved relative to the pump and the chamber to actuate the dispenser slide plate (4) through which the soap is actually released. There is thus no visible actuating head so that the dispenser is easy to clean and has a good appearance. The housing can be designed to move up down or swing according manufacturer's preference.
