PURPOSE:To make the opening of a cell lid easier for internal repairing, etc., as well as simplify a bonding device for a cell box and the cell lid by incorporating a resistance heating element in the bonded junction between the cell box and cell lid made of a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:Both the cell box 1 and the cell lid 2, each being made of a synthetic resin, e.g., polypropylene, etc., are bonded to each other to form a storage battery, where the resistance heating element 4, e.g., nichrome wire, etc., is built in the bonded junction 3 between the cell box 1 and the cell lid 2 and the connection terminal 5 is drawn out. Then, a current is applied to the connecting terminal 5 and then the cell lid 2 is pressed on the cell box 1 to bond and fix both together. Also, when opening the lid, a currnet is also supplied to the connection terminal 5 and both members are separated from each other to open the lid. |
