PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the powder consumption in a driver in a matrix display device driving a capacitive load such as a plasma display, etc. SOLUTION: In the drive circuit of a plasma display device being a matrix display device, when an address pulse 21 according to the display image data is applied to the address electrode wiring W of the display device, the rise (the fall is acceptable, too) timing of the address pulse 21 applied to respective address electrode wiring W are delayed. Thus, the rise timing and the fall timing of the address pulse 21 respectively applied between the address electrode wiring Wk, Wk+1 adjacent on the display are controlled so as to be shifted each other, and the power consumption in a data driver due to charge/discharge in a capacitor Cw is reduced. Further, the constitution feedback controlling so that the power consumption in the data driver outputting the address pulse becomes a prescribed value or below is applicable. |
