PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water generated from a process of hydro- entangled nonwoven fabric and an apparatus for the treatment. SOLUTION: Hydro-entangled nonwoven fabric is produced through the entanglement among the fibers constituting fiber web 2 by applying water-jet on the fiber web 2. In this process, the treatment of the water discharged from the process as waste water is carried out as followed. At first, the waste water is separated into clear water and condensed waste water by a filtration apparatus R. Subsequently, the condensed waste water is introduced into a waste water-treating apparatus S of a coagulation pressure-reduction flotation-type, and the waste water is treated by coagulation pressure-reduction flotation method. Or, the waste water is directly introduced into the waste water-treating apparatus S without passing the filtration apparatus R and treated through coagulation pressure-reduction flotation method. By the treatment, the condensed waste water can be separated into fiber scum floating on the treated water and cleared water. The waste water-treating apparatus is provided at least with a water jet apparatus 1 for applying water jet on fiber web 2, a filtration apparatus R for recovering water flow discharged from the treatment of fiber web 2 and separating into clear water and condensed waste water and a waste water-treating apparatus S for separating the condensed waste water into fiber scum (sludge) and cleared water. |
