PURPOSE:To make a distributor compact, by providing diodes between spark plugs and the side electrodes of the distributor so that the polarity of the diodes differs as to the adjacent side electrodes and by applying a voltage, whose polarity is inverted every time, to the center electrode of the distributor. CONSTITUTION:Diodes 9-14 are provided so that their polarity differs as to adjacent side electrodes. Pulses, whose polarity changes and which drive transistors 32, 33 for ignition, are alternately supplied from AND circuits 27, 28 so that an ignition signal whose polarity is inverted every time is applied to a center electrode 1c. As a result, sparks are caused on only one spark plug even if the center electrode 1c comes into contact with the electrodes 3, 4 at the same time. According to this constitution, a distributor can be made compact. |
