PURPOSE:To correctly process a magnetic card although the magnetic card is fed into a machine without confirming the upper or lower surface of the card, by comparing the number of pulses generated from two magnetic sensors which are adjacent to each other. CONSTITUTION:The output signals of magnetic sensors A-F of a magnetic card puch are supplied to comparators 1COM-5COM via binary counters 1BC-6BC. Then the numbers of magnetic patterns of the magnetic cards are compared based on the young rows adjacent to each other and with every row. As a result, the signals of ''large'', ''equal'' and ''small'' are delivered through terminals TH, TE and TL respectively. Then all ''large'' and ''small'' signals receive an OR process through NOT-AND circuits 1GH-5GH and 1GL-5GL to decide the ''row'' to be punched for the magnetic card. On the other hand, the ''equal'' signal receives an AND process through an AND circuit 1AND. Then the ''line'' to be punched on the magnetic card is decided by the AND signal, the signals of sensors A and F plus the OR signal. In accordance with these ''row'' and ''line'', holing punches a-f are actuated. |
