PURPOSE:To realize an assured turning for pages of a bankbook in a desired number without giving any mean to the bankbook, by bending the bankbook to extend the difference in levels of each page, counting the number of pages after detecting the part of difference in level and turning the pages at a stroke in only desired number. CONSTITUTION:A bankbook 1 is inserted from the direction shown by an arrow (a) to be sent to the turning position by a feeding roller 3, and thus a pressure 21 works to bend the book 1. Thus the part of difference in level at the lower edge of the book 1 is extended in staircase-shape. Then a pressure-sensitive member 22 is pressed to the part of difference in level and shifted gradually, and the change of pressure is counted by a detecting means that detects the load of pressure applied to the member 22. The movement of the member 22 is stopped when the pages are counted in only desired number. After this, a separating member 23 is inserted between the middle papers 2 of the separated pages and turned along with a cover guide 24. Furthermore the book 1 is fed by feeding rollers 3 and 4 in the direction shown by an arrow (b), and at the same time plural sheets of middle paper 2a are turned over. In such way, the pages of the book 1 can be turned at a stroke in only desired number. |
