In order to turn coins inserted through a coin slot (2) of a coin operated apparatus so that they can roll along a coin chute forming a large angle with the coin insertion direction and in order to simultaneously obtain an even coin motion with a small initial velocity in the coin chute, the device (2) comprises arcuate surfaces (19,20) positioned one at each side of the coin chute (6), said surfaces converging downwardly and inwardly against one another, the surfaces being designed and mutually displaced in the longitudinal direction of the chute such that a coin by its contact with the arcuate surfaces is affected on at least one of its edges of a force turning around the coin until it can slide onto the chute bottom at which time the velocity of the coin is substantially zero in the direction of the chute. <IMAGE> |
