PURPOSE:To facilitate the measurement of approximate radiation energy distribution and X ray energy distribution of a high counting rate by computing an output intensity signal value from a detection element provided in the incident direction of radiation and an inverse matrix equation precalculated. CONSTITUTION:When the attenuation of radiation 10 occurs in semiconductor detection element 11 and 12, the signal intensities b1 and b2 from amplifiers 21 and 22 constitutes a function of a radiation attenuation coefficient of the elements 11 and 12 with respect to incident radiation of energies E1 and E2. The intensities are computed with a inverse matrix equation from an inverse matrix generator 3 by means of a matrix operation unit 4 to determine individual counting rates 41 and 42. The counting rate is provided to an indicator 5 to obtain the energy distribution of the radiation. |
