METHOD FOR MEASURING LENGTH OF TWISTED WIRE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurately measure a length, by performing the measurement of the length of an arbitrary element wire prior to passing a twisting port by a length measuring device and outputting a length measuring signal to perform operation for erasing a length measuring error by the operator inputting said signal. CONSTITUTION:In bundling a plurality of element wires from a bobbin 1 by a twisting port 3 and twisting the same by rotating a wind-up drum 4, a length measuring wheel 5 is provided along an arbitrary one element wire 2 prior to passing the twisting port 3 so as not to slip to measure a length. The value of the wheel 5 is outputted as a reference signal and a constant is set by an operator to perform the erasing operation of the measuring error in the twisting ratio of the element wire 2 while the result thereof is outputted to a display device 8 as the measured wire length of a twisted wire. By this method, the length of the twisted wire twisted by a drawing wind-up rotary type twisting machine can be accurately measured.
