GAS DISCHARGE LAMP DIMMING SYSTEM EMPLOYING SWITCHING CONTACT INPUTS

A gas discharge lamp control system employs a dimmer structure which has proportional input control. The proportional control is controlled by a circuit which obtains an input from switching contacts which are switched between on and off positions according to a predetermined schedule by time of day control and by energy management control. Outputs from the contacts are applied to a digital-to-analog converter which converts the digital contact switching information into an analog signal related to a dimming level for the gas discharge lamp circuit. The analog output signal is connected through a fader circuit to the proportional control electrode of the gas discharge lamp dimmer system.
