The electrical tripping device proposed here is advantageous for that application in which the tripping energy available is less than that necessary for tripping the switching device. The essence of the invention is for a voltage threshold switch to be connected in series with the relay coil and for a charged capacitor to be connected in parallel with this serial circuit, the charge voltage of which capacitor is somewhat below the relay tripping voltage.
