PURPOSE:To provide an emulsified composition highly safe and stable and excellent in application feel by using a hydrophile polyglycerin higher fatty acid ester and a specific carboxylic acid and oil as the chief ingredients of a hydrophile gel composition. CONSTITUTION:In preparing an emulsifying composition in the production of cosmetic materials in a gel and oil-in-water form, there are used as chief ingredients a hydrophile polyglycerin higher fatty acid ester of not less than 9 HLB such as decaglycerinoleate, a carboxylic acid having not less than one carboxyl group in the molecule such as citric acid and oil. By using this emulsifying composition, a gel is formed in the presence of water instead of polyhydric alcohol. Also the addition of carboxylic acid to this water leads to an outstanding rapid increase in the gelling ability, an excellent emulsifying characteristic of the gel thus formed and a transparent appearance of this gel. |
