PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of producing copies by counting the number of documents by performing copying without previously supplying paper in the 1st cycle of document circulation and performing copying by previously supplying recording paper and paper for cover based on the number of documents after the 2nd and subsequent cycles. CONSTITUTION:By depressing a copying key 600, a 1st document is fed to a document platen glass from a recirculating document feeder RDF 300 and the recording paper fit for the size of document is supplied from a paper supply cassette 151 so as to perform copying. The number of documents is counted in the 1st cycle of the RDF. When the last document is detected, the paper for cover is supplied from the upper stage of the cassette 151 and copying is performed. Since the number of documents is known after the 2nd and subsequent cycles, the necessary number of paper is previously supplied to perform copying. When the last document is found, the paper for cover is previously supplied to perform copying. Thus, the efficiency of producing the copies can be improved by previously supplying the recording paper and the paper for cover after the 2nd and subsequent cycles of document bundles. |
