PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of the chlorine ions in biofluids with high sensitivity by using an ion sensitive film consisting of a film-like material to a straight-chain polymer contg. >=50% unit expressed by the specific constitutional formula. CONSTITUTION:This film consists of the film-like material consisting of the straight-chain polymer contg. >=50% unit expressed by the formula I (where Y; H, alkyl group, etc., X<->; atomic group forming a halogen ion, Z; the group selected from the formula II, R1, R2; an alkyl group of <=5C, etc., A; 2 or 3 long-chain hydrophobic group, etc., B<1>, B<2>; homologous or heterologous nonionic univalent straight-chain hydrophobic group). Since the quaternary ammonium group of the specific structure which is the ion sensitive part is immobilized in the polymer by a covalent bond, the elution of the constituting components is hardly eliminated and the long life is obtd. The ion sensitive film has the high responsiveness of chlorine ions as against the disturbing ions such as carbonated water ions, etc. existing in the biofluids such as blood and urine and, therefore, the determination of the chlorine ions in the biofluids is exactly executed. |
