PURPOSE:To form a sharp printing image without exerting effect due to a temp. change on the printable number of times or the density of an obtained printing image by providing at least two kinds of heat-meltable colorant layer and the heat-meltable intermediate layer held between said heat-meltable colorant layers on a support. CONSTITUTION:At least two or more layers of heat-meltable colorant layers 2, 4 are laminated to a support 1. At this time, a heat-meltable intermediate layer 3 having melt viscosity higher than that of the heat-meltable colorant layers 2, 4 is provided between the heat-meltable colorant layers 2, 4. When printing is applied to a medium to be transferred, the heat-meltable intermediate layer 3 makes good release generating no napping possible at the interface of the heat-meltable colorant layer 4 and heat-meltable intermediate layer 3 transferred to the medium to be transferred and also make the transfer of the heat-meltable colorant layer 4 to the medium to be transferred easy and prevents the transfer of the heat-meltable intermediate layer 3 and the heat-meltable colorant layer 2 to be transferred next time to the medium to be transferred. When printing is performed using a part where the heat-meltable colorant layer 4 of the outermost layer is released after the second time, the heat-meltable intermediate layer 3 positioned at the heated outermost layer is transferred to the medium to be transferred along with the lower heat-meltable colorant layer 2. |
