PURPOSE:To lessen photoirradiation energy by providing a rotatable photosensitive body, a mechanism to rotate the photosensitive body, a part for detecting the end of a printing operation, an erasing part by a photoirradiating means, and a transfer charger. CONSTITUTION:The change in the surface potential 1 of the photosensitive body is nearly equaled to the zero potential 4 via the transfer charger 2 and the photoirradiating means 3. The ruggedness of the surface potential of the photosensitive body before arriving at the transfer charger 2 is potentials (a) to (b) before the point A. The surface potential after the passage through the transfer charger 2 is electrified in a plus direction by the transfer charger 2 and, therefore, the ruggedness of the potential approaches the zero potential 4 as a whole and the ruggedness of the potential becomes as low as a' to b'. The surface potential is further made into the same potential as the nearly zero potential 4 at the point B and thereafter by the photoirradiating means 3 at the point B, by which the surface potential of the photosensitive body is uniformized. |
