The present invention relates to a device for heating the ambient air around any crops. This device comprises a tank (1), a cover (2) mounted removably on this tank, a shaft (chimney) (3) surmounting this cover and a burner head (8) fastened removably on the lateral wall (6) of the tank (1) in order to heat the closed space delimited by the tank (1) and the cover (2) and a part of the inner space of the shaft (3) in order to permit radiation of heat over a certain height from the ground with a very good performance level. This device applies particularly to the heating of the ambient air around crops such as vines or fruit trees. <IMAGE>
