FLAME-RESISTANT POLYSTYLENE RESIN COMPOSITION

Fire resistant polystyrene resin composition comprises (1) impact resistant polystyrene, (2) non-bromine flame retardant and flame retardance synergist, (3) impact resistance improving agent, (4) wax, (5) ultraviolet stabilizer and (6) antioxidant. The flame retadant contains 1-40 wt.% of chlorine flame retardant and 0.01-30 wt.% of inorganic flame retardant selected from magnesium hydroxide or alumina hydrate compounds and the inorganic flame retardant is selected from hexachlorocyclopentadiene, methylcyclopentadiene or dicyclopentadiene having chlorine content of 10-90 wt.%. The composition has a high impact resistance and good processability.
