Device for bending/quenching glass sheets raised to their softening temperature with a view to their bending and their quenching, comprising upper bending means, especially an upper solid mould and a lower annular mould on which the glass sheets deform and in relation to which the edge of the said sheets moves as a result of the deformation, especially by horizontal pressing between the upper bending means and the lower mould, and means for quenching where the bent sheets are quenched thermally with air on the same annular mould. This annular mould is designed so that its surface in contact with the glass sheets at the beginning of their deformation on the mould, situated on the outer periphery of the said mould, is adapted for movement without marking the glass on the said mould and especially adapted for pressing, and so that, on the other hand, the said surface in contact at the end of the travel, especially at the end of the pressing, situated on the inner periphery of the said mould is adapted for quenching. |
