摘要 PURPOSE:To bore natural ground at a high speed when it is strong enough as well as to secure the necessary driving force even if it is soft by connecting a segmentary expansion- contraction type reaction unit to a tunnel boring machine, expanding this reaction unit, and securing a propulsive reaction in gripping the natural ground. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a tunnel boring machine 1 and a segmentary expansion- contraction type reaction unit 5, and a cutter disk 3 and a boring muck carrying-out belt conveyor 4 both are installed in this machine 1. In addition, plural pieces of rings and circular plates are installed in this reaction unit 5 which is expanded or contracted in the radial direction by means of expansion of a hydraulic jack to be connected. Then the machine 1 and the reaction unit 5 are connected to each other by a lead-in jack 8. Next, at the time of boring, at a strong rock part, high-speed boring is made performable by means of open stopping, but at a soft ground layer part, since lining work is carried out with a buried segment, necessary propulsive reaction is made securable. In addition, in the case where the work is changed to the soft ground layer part from the strong rock part and a weathered ground layer part, the reaction unit 5 is made into an expanded state and gripping force with the natural ground is secured, separating it from a machine body 2. Next, the work is shifted to reaction secureness by means of the buried segment.
