<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate transition between wires, by arranging vertical turn joints and horizontal turn joints at clamp sections provided at the opposite ends and the central section of an under rail laid along a transmission line in order to hold a predetermined angle. CONSTITUTION:An under rail 1 is suspended from a wire A through clamps 2 at the opposite ends and the central section of the under rail 1 is jointed continuously with a clamp 4, a supporting member 5 and a supporting frame 11 in order to suspend a gondola. The clamps 2, 4 are provided with openable/ closable and vertically turnable joints 2b, 4b and horizontally turnable joints 2c, 4c, and vertical motion means 2d, 4d are provided. The gondola 13 is also provided with vertical and horizontal turning means 8, 9 and a set of observa tion machinery is mounted. The clamps 2, 4 are opened/closed corresponding to the state of the wire A then the turning joints ere rotated in order to stabilize the attitude of the gondola 13, thereafter the under rail 1 is stepped inch by inch through the travel unit 3 in the supporting member 11 and a drive means 7. By such arrangement, travel on the wire and transition between the wires can be performed easily.</p> |
