A swimming pool management system including one or more sensors for sensing a respective parameter of parameters of a swimming pool. Such sensors may take the form of, for example, water level sensors, pH sensors, chlorine-content sensors, or sensors for determining the cleanliness or otherwise of the pool water. The sensor provides signals significant of the parameters sensed to processing means, and means controlled by the processing means adjust one or more parameters associated with the pool, for example, by controlling circulating pumps, filters, pH-adjusting devices or chlorination apparatus. The processing means may also, for example, control such devices as robotic pool cleaners, so that such a device may be activated, for example, when the pool is not occupied and when the sensors detect that pool cleaning is required, or when the sensors detect that a certain period of time has passed. |
