PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption to a required minimum power by using the receiver provided with an intermittent operation period extension function extending the period of intermittent operation when extension of a reception period is made by an erroneous signal thereby realizing an optimum reply time depending on a situation. SOLUTION: This receiver 10 is constituted of a control section CPU 11, a high frequency reception section 13, an input output section 14, and a setting input section 15 or the like. In the case that the automatic control mode is set by the setting input section 15, the control section 11 operates intermittently a high frequency reception section 13 for a usual period in a usual standby state after start. When the reception period is extended by an abnormal signal (error code), the intermittent operation period is extended under a prescribed condition. For example, in the case that extension of the reception period due to mis-matched ID codes is repeated for a specified number of times N within a prescribed time, the control section 11 the succeeding intermittent period to, e.g. about twice with respect to the period up to now. |
