PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify unwinding and winding of a wire saw by moving a reel along is rotating shaft while a wire saw is unwound or wound is such a manner that the wire saw is aligned vertically to the rotating shaft of the reel in an area between the reel and a deflecting roller. SOLUTION: A reel 1 is so constructed that the rotary motion is performed by a motor 8 palced on a carriage device 9 and the movement parallel to the rotting shaft is performed by a spindle driving device 10 of the carriage device 9. When the carriage 9 is moved, a connected pivotal arm 11 is moved with the carriage device 9. During unwinding or winding work, a wire saw 5 is directed to be aligned vertically to the rotation of the reel 1 in an area between the reel 1 and a deflecting roller 7. In relation thereto, the reel 1 is moved along the rotating shaft by the carriage device 9, so that the wire saw extended from the reel 1 or toward the reel 1 is changed in its axial position on the reel 1. |
