According to the inventive method for regulating insulin medication, a patient's blood sugar levels are detected before and after meals. The difference between these two measured values is plotted against a quotient calculated from the carbohydrate units taken up during the meal and the insulin units used to compensate these carbohydrate units. By presenting a number of these points on a chart it is possible to obtain reference points for improving the insulin medication.
