According to the invention, the plate-shaped work pieces (W) are guided in a vertical position through at least one treatment cell (BZ) which contains a treatment bath. Vertical slots (S) for the passage of the work pieces (W) are provided in the facing walls of the treatment cell (BZ). Rods or pipes which are assigned to said slots (S) in pairs serve as seals (D). Said rods or pipes are loosely arranged in the treatment bath in a vertical manner. In order to also be able to treat thin, non-rigid work pieces (W), two rollers (WA) which are vertically aligned and which are preferably driven are provided for guiding the work pieces (W). Said rollers are arranged on the feed side outside the treatment cell (BZ) and directly in front of the seals (D). |
