Packages (1) are held firmly by fixtures (4) against the top side of a conveyor belt (2) transporting them past blowers (3). A machine for drying packages (1) comprises a conveyor belt for transporting equidistantly spaced packages and blowers located close to the belt. Fixtures are provided in at least the region close to the blowers for holding the packages on top of the belt.
