A hinge assembly 2900 comprises a follower 2802, a cam 2804, rotatably coupled to the follower, and a spring 2806, coupled to the cam and coiled around a segment of the follower. The follower may comprise a Y-shaped connector 2901, a body, with a flat bottom surface 2909, and a top surface having a plurality of tabs 2913, and an elongated shaft 2905, with a portion defining a plurality of spring retaining prongs 2921. The cam may have a flat ring surface 2925, and a surface having a profile formed with peaks 2929, and valleys 2931, for engagement with said tabs 2931. The hinge may be used in a wireless communication device (Fig 1, 100), to join the body (Fig 1, 104), to the cover (Fig 1, 102). |
