The training apparatus has a vertical grip (33) extending along the vertical axis. A rotary seat (30) is rotatably connected with the front end section of the basic frame (20) around a vertical axis extending through the front end section of the basic frame. The vertical grip is connected with the rotary seat for a simultaneous movement. Two connecting pieces (37) are arranged on the two sides of the basic frame (20), each of which connects the rotary to the front end of the pedal part (24), making possible a rotation of the rotary seat and the vertical grip when the pedal parts are pivoted alternatingly to both sides of the basic frame.
