PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly form a relief image on a printing plate by a beam without performing a chemical treatment. SOLUTION: This flexo printing plate 10 comprises a rear material layer 16, an intermediate layer and an upper layer. The rear material has a thin sheet made of a metal or a polyester in a manner to have a dimensional stability. The intermediate layer is in a elastomer expanded body having closed cells. The upper layer is a thin layer of an elastomer wherein the content is uniformly packed. When the rear material lest laser transmit, or a used wavelength has a high reflection, the intermediate layer strongly absorbs the laser radiation. The plate is self-controllably cut by a laser which functions by the used wavelength. As soon as the rear material is exposed to a laser beam 31, the beam passes through the rear material, or is reflected by the rear material, and in either case, the damage of the rear material is prevented from occurring. Since the thickness of the almost all section of the plate is occupied by the intermediate layer of a low density, in order to cut the plate, an energy as much as a conventional flexo printing plate is not required. |
