摘要 PURPOSE: A precise diamond cutter is provided to obtain a regular cut surface by controlling the RPM(Revolution Per Minute) of a cutting wheel corresponding to the sudden load changes. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(10) controls the RPM of a cutting wheel(6) through PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) by feedback of signals from an encoder(4). The encoder is installed on a rotatable shaft(3) of a motor(2). The encoder is used with an optical encoder. Signals detected from the encoder are counted in pulse through a pulse counter(12), and the counted pulse value is compared with reference value in the control unit to transfer a control signal for the RPM of the cutting wheel. The cutting wheel includes a diamond wheel. If the counted pulse value is higher than the reference value, the control unit decides that the RPM of the cutting wheel is high. The control unit lowers the RPM of the cutting wheel by reducing the RPM of the motor. If the motor is started, the control unit transmits a control signal to gradually increase the RPM of the motor up to set RPM with a time interval of about 1-2sec. Thereby, the cutting wheel is operated at regular speed.
