When an alarm such that the residual amt. of a developer is slight is warned at that time by a developer residual amt. detection part 5, the number of printing papers is read from the first memory area of the non-volatile memory 4 to be compared with the reference number of printing papers and, when the read number of printing papers is more than the reference number of printing papers, it is stored in the second memory area of the non-volatile memory 4 as the desired number of used printing papers to be initialized. When the read number of printing papers is less than the reference number of printing papers, it is regarded that the developer is temporarily restored and the number of the printing papers is added to the number of previously consumed printing papers. |
