PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial ash for ash-dried Undaria pinnatifida having properties by no means inferior to those of a conventional ash produced by burning plants. SOLUTION: This pseudo-ash is obtained by mixing a black powder composed of a pulverized coal with a white powder composed of one or more kinds selected from among grains, root vegetables, cellulose, calcium and insoluble mineral materials and an alkaline agent and providing a gray powder showing alkalinity. |
